Witold Wrobel

Witold Wrobel – British (Poland born) oboist, and woodwind tutor. He studied oboe, cor anglais with Jerzy Kotyczka and contemporary music with Zaid Jabri at the Academy of Music in Krakow.

In 2013, he was awarded a scholarship of the Ministry of Culture in Poland for outstanding achievements in music. Also, in 2013 he performed Capriccio per oboe e 11 archi at the Academy of Music and University of Technology in Krakow for the main guest – Krzysztof Penderecki.

Witold Wrobel has been awarded during many international competitions (International Competition Svirel Slovenia 2012- 1st prize with piano quartet, International Competition in Chieri, Italy 2012- 2nd prize with Oboe Trio, International Dmytro Bida Competition in Lviv, Ukraine 2013 – 1st prize in solo.

As an experienced orchestral and chamber musician, Witold performed in venues across Europe (Poland, Germany, Slovenia, Sweden, Luxembourg, Belgium, The Netherlands, Ukraine, Denmark, Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Gibraltar and Italy).

Currently based in London where he’s working as a woodwind tutor and a musician in the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment. He plays Lorée Royal 125 semi-automatic oboe.
