Kevin was born in Panama City. He studied first with Juan Castillo at Panama’s National Conservatory, and later at the National University of Panama, under Efrain Castro’s tutelage. By the time he was 14 years old, he was already a member of Panama’s National Symphony Orchestra. In 2006 was the recipient of the Honorary Medal of Excellence awarded by Moscow’s Gnessin Academy of Music. In that same year, he was named Ambassador for Latin America of the International Commission of Business and Culture, a division of the Mayor of Moscow.
In 2009, he moved to Mexico, studying under the guidance of Joseph Shalita, Principal Oboe of the Mexico State Symphony Orchestra; in 2013 he won First Prize in the Mexico City Oboe Competition, under the auspices of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
As a soloist, Kevin has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra of Panama, the Mexico City Philharmonic, the Chihuahua Symphony Orchestra, Acapulco Philharmonic Orchestra, Minería Chamber Orchestra, Eduardo Mata Youth Symphony Orchestra, Cancún Chamber Orchestra, among others. With the Vivace Woodwind Quintet, he performed in France, Italy, Russia and Germany, including the Ekatherina’s Palace, the Glazunov Recital Hall and the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. Kevin has also played recitals in Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Cuba, Mexico and the United States. Mr. Tiboche is a faculty member of various Festivals throughout Mexico and Latin America. Currently, he is Oboist of the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra and Professor of the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City.
The Mexican press has described him as « an oboist whose sound is filled with tenderness and beauty ».
